Sts. Peter & Paul students enjoy a vibrant community of student clubs and activities. Below are some of the activities our students regularly participate in:

Student Council: Seventh and eighth grade students are eligible for Student Council offices, leading our school in a variety of charitable endeavors and fun school events and traditions. Student Council supports activities such as dances, our school Talent Show, and holiday celebrations.

After-School Enrichment Activities: After-school clubs focused on sharpening students' minds through collaboration and engagement include Scrabble Club, Lego Club, and Chess Club.

School Newspaper: Our school newspaper, the Sts. Peter & Paul Press, is a student-run, monthly publication. Issues feature interviews with faculty members, student events, and school activity news. Students learn photography, interviewing, and digital editing skills.

LitFest: The Diocese of Pittsburgh Lit Fest provides a unique opportunity for our Catholic schools to unite in the spirit of friendly competition, while fostering a love for literature that aligns with our faith. Students in grades 4 through 8 are given the opportunity to read captivating novels and participate in games and discussion to share their love of literature with other Catholic school students across the Diocese of Pittsburgh. 

MathCounts: The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that reaches students in grades 6-8 in all US states and territories with 3 extracurricular math programs. More than a quarter million students participate in our programs and use our resources each year.

Forensics: The Sts. Peter & Paul Forensics Team consists of students in grades 6-8 who compete in categories that include Poetry, Prose, Declamation, Impromptu, Reading, and Drama. The club promotes the study of public discussion and debate, fostering public speaking skills. To prepare for the competitions, the students practice after school and at lunch periods as needed.

Spelling Bee: Sts. Peter & Paul students regularly participate in the Diocesan and local spelling bees. 

Altar Serving: Students in grades 4 through 8 have the privilege of serving on the altar. Sts Peter & Paul students serve at school masses.

Diocesan Honor League: The Honor League is composed of students in grades 7 and 8 who excel academically and display exemplary qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in six core subjects. Applicants must also participate in at least one academic extracurricular activity and perform at least 25 hours of service each year.
