Coaches: Mr and Mrs Goshen
Cross country running is a sport in which teams and individuals run a race on open-air courses over natural terrain.
It is both an individual and a team sport; runners are judged on individual times and a points-scoring method for teams. Both genders participate in running cross country. SSPP participates during the fall season. Competition usually involves more than one team during the meet with several championships during the season. All Catholic schools within the Pittsburgh Diocese participate in the finals in October.
Cross Country is open to students in grades 3-8. If a student in grades 1st or 2nd are interested, a parent or adult must attend all practices with him/her.
